My name is Amy and daughter cheryl owners of Butterflybunnies.co.uk we are based in SHELDON in Birmingham.

I have been looking after animals for many years now i started with my dad who used to be a rescuer for birds of prey and unwanted birds. I was 13 yrs old when i first started helping him we had a large number of birds coming through the door until they were well enough to be let back out into the wild which was such a great feeling. We did breed our own birds of prey from little owls to eagle owls, but as time went on we concentrated on furry friends the rabbits. We had rex’s, nethies and minilops.

Now we have started with our own bunnies, pure bred minilops. I started summer last year and have had some lovely kits. we do this as a hobby as we love our pets and we also take in unwanted rabbits were people can no longer look after them i do not rehome them i keep them all i don’t rehome them

My daughter cheryl (chez for short) is now helping me with them.

We dont breed bunnies for a profit all the monies that are made go back into the up keep of the bunnies and the welfare of them and it helps to keep the adult bunnies in good health and new runs. All of our bunnies are well looked after.

Our rabbits are fed twice daily morning and night with rabbit royale, mornflake super fast oats and loads of hay,they have fresh veg a few times aweek cabbage,brocoli,and carrots but not to many as carrots contain alot of sugar.

We always use carrs ENTRACARE AQUA in the water as it keeps their guts in good health i recommend this to all who have my babies

They are let out in the runs during the day weather permitting.

All our bunnies are kept indoors out of the bad weather.
